National risk assessment
The aim of the national ML/TF risk assessment process (NRA) is to assess and report on the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing in the Czech Republic. The process is coordinated by the Financial Analytical Office and performed in cooperation with stakeholders both from the private and public sector.
The Czech NRA follows an in-house methodology in accordance with the relevant FATF methodology, the 5th AML Directive and the Czech AML Act. The process involves all interested state authorities covering AML supervisors, law enforcement authorities, tax administration, customs administration and relevant sectoral and horizontal regulators, relevant ministries etc. Furthermore, all private sector stakeholders, such as obliged entities and their associations, as well as non-profit organisations, are involved, subject to their legitimate interest in AML/CFT prevention.
